Growing up, I was always involved in sports. I played basketball, baseball, ran track and was really passionate about Football. Three years ago I was introduced to Crossfit and immediately became hooked and never looked back. I remember completing my first “WOD” which was ‘DT’. To this day that is still my absolute favorite workout! Crossfit has changed my life mentally and physically and helped me lose over 50lbs. I am able to take what I have learned to help coach others. I am extremely passionate about coaching and programming and pushing others to reach their full potential. I have completed in individual as well as team competitions and look forward to reaching future personal goals.

I got involved in the sport of CrossFit during the middle of my senior year in high school. I attended school for exercise science at the University of Vermont and worked with Mathew Fraser, Danielle Horan, and other awesome athletes. I was also fortunate enough to work with senior international weightlifting coach Chris Polakowski and was captain of UVM’s weightlifting club. I was certified in CrossFit in October of 2013 and then flew out to the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO in March of 2014 to receive my USA Weightlifting sports performance certification. In addition, I’m also CPR and AED certified and have competed in weightlifting competitions under the -69kg class. My favorite lift is the snatch and I love watching our members progress!

Javier Salinas

Coach Bio

After a 12 year soccer career, I have formed habits that are practically unbreakable. Being fit and regular exercise has become more than a hobby but a life-style and second nature.
My goal in life is to provide the most value I can to whatever groups, individuals, and organizations that I am a part of and fitness has given me the opportunity to do exactly that in the most practical way possible while doing something that I truly love.
Through fitness I am able to share my passion in such a way that it may very well change someone’s entire life. Being fit is more than how much you can lift or how good you look in a bathing suit. It’s about living your life to the fullest, without restrictions, and being able to do the things you want to do day-in and day-out. Fitness is my language; inspiring others is my passion.
